About the Founder
I'm Anson Lin, a mechanical engineer born in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, and now based in Shenzhen. With over a decade of hands-on experience, I've dedicated my career to turning complex concepts into manufacturable products.My professional journey began in traditional manufacturing, designing products ranging from sports helmets to consumer goods. A significant milestone was my role at a Shenzhen-based supplier for international clients, where I led development for gaming accessories used with Xbox and PlayStation. Working directly with European and US teams, I gained deep expertise in Western design standards and DFM best practices.For the past 12 years, Shenzhen has been my home and the heart of my professional network. This city's unparalleled manufacturing ecosystem gives me direct access to cutting-edge prototyping facilities, experienced mold makers, and reliable production partners—all within a few hours' reach.
Later, I helped build a hardware startup from the ground up, establishing their R&D and production operations. By optimizing designs and leveraging Shenzhen's supply chain, we significantly reduced costs and scaled efficiently into production.Today, through DUMU, I offer clients worldwide direct access to Shenzhen's manufacturing advantages—combined with engineering expertise and transparent communication.
